We sing of a church seeking to continue the story of Jesus
by embodying Christ’s presence in the world.
We are called together by Christ as a community of broken but hopeful believers,
loving what he loved, living what he taught, striving to be faithful servants of God
in our time and place.
(United Church, Song of Faith, 2006)
Grace United strives to WELCOME, INSPIRE, and SUPPORT people of all ages and stages in their faith journeys.
If you are believer, a searcher, or just not sure - ALL are welcome!
by embodying Christ’s presence in the world.

SIT N KNIT/STAY N CROCHET
This group continues to bring together crocheters and knitters of different skill levels and different experiences on every other Wednesday morning. It continues to expand our outreach to people within our church family and to those beyond our walls. Some of our projects include:
• Baby afghans or sweater for new-borns and those baptized into our church family
• Prayer shawls/blankets for those in our church family and community who are experiencing difficult times
• Wash cloths
• Izzy Dolls
• Hats, Pneumonia Vests, cowls
• Afghans for graduates
Without even knowing who would receive it, these tangible gifts of prayer are made specifically for the person who will receive it. Each of these gifts was made to bring warmth to someone who feels a chill. Each of these gifts was made to bring comfort to someone who feels alone. Each of these gifts was made to bring peace to someone in need of prayer. Each of these gifts was made to remind the recipient that they are part of the family of God.
We are always looking for yarn for projects or donation of money to buy yarn--any help is much appreciated. The supplies are donated from the community or donated by those who crochet or knit. Patterns and yarn are always available.

GENEROSITY THROUGH MISSION AND SERVICE. As part of the United Church of Canada, we commit to raising funds to support Mission and Service.
COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR. On Saturday February 26 in 149 communities across Canada, teams of volunteers will be participating in 2 or 5 kilometer fund-raising walks in support of those local charities that provide care and services to people experiencing homelessness, hurt and hunger. By walking in the cold, the participants will experience for just a short time what the homeless feel through the entire long winter. “The Graceful Walkers” will be participating in this initiative on February 26th. To make a donation towards our team effort just click on this link: Support Graceful Walkers. If you would like to make a donation by cash or cheque, please make it payable to ‘The Coldest Night Of The Year’.
