![]() Blessings, Today we begin our series of taking time for short spiritual practice. These resources are taken from the book by Rob Fennell and used with permission. Allow yourself just 5 minutes in your day .... Day One: A focusing question: Sometimes we wonder if our lives make a difference. But what if we make a difference simply by wanting to be loving, kind, and helpful? This is a powerful attitude to take into the world. This prayer is often with me: "Lord, make us be the answers to one another's prayers." The Practice: As you begin your day, close your eyes and breathe deeply 3-4 times. Allow yourself to be centered in goodness and kindness as the day begins. Breathe out any negativity, anxiety, or busy thoughts that may be running through your head. Breathe in kindness and goodness. Take a few moments to think about the idea that your actions might help and serve others. Or they might help just one other person. In the stillness, allow your life today to be an open book, ready for the Source of Life to write on. Who knows what good might be done through you today? Stay open. No need to plan anything specific. Guided by God's love, you might well be an answer to another person’s prayer already today. Take another slow, deep breath. Say thank you to the Divine for moments of kindness and goodness. Now - head into, or continue with your day. Peace, Rev. Gail
